Art Without Boundaries serves as a central interchange for cultural diplomacy among the 97 international consulates in the greater Los Angeles area. Operating from the Croatian Cultural Center of Greater Los Angeles, the program encourages cooperative programming between nations and cultures through their diplomatic representatives and serves as an local adjunct and advocate for the cultural affairs bureaus of consulates, embassies, and foreign ministries. Art Without Boundaries coordinates with existing artistic and cultural programs, discerns and facilitates cooperative relationships among and between cultures and nations, and develops original programming to advance its objectives.

The formal opening night of the exhibition
Art Without Boundaries, November 23rd, 2013, was a success. The group exhibition hosted by the Croatian Cultural Center of Greater Los Angeles was a glamorous gala event attended by Consuls from several countries, City authorities of Los Angeles, and representatives from the Congress's District Office. The guests were delighted by a private concert performed by The Los Angeles Philharmonic.
The exhibition was an original idea of Maya Bristow, president of the Croatian Cultural Center.
It was very interesting to observe the different styles and materials used to create these art pieces. Eighteen artists from 15 countries had the opportunity to exhibit their work. Art works ranged from painting, photography, installations, wood work, etc.
Throughout 2014, the artist will also have the opportunity to showcase their work individually.
