COLORFUL RUINS
By Ingrid Dietrich
Even though I am not a supporter of "graffiti art," it was almost impossible to get my attention off this place. Layers of colors, layers of stories, layers of personalities imprinted on a wall.
This photographs were taken in Camarillo, California. Some people call this place "Scary Dairy," making reference to the "hunted house" stories about this place. The ruins of this building belonged to an old dairy farm from the 1950's- 1960's. This dairy farm was maintained by the patients of the Camarillo State Mental Hospital, as part of their treatment. Once the farm was closed, it became public property. Now, it is part of the Camarillo Regional Park, and it is heavily supervised by the local sheriffs.
